For my birthday in early March, Drew told me he had a little surprise getaway for just the two of us planned sometime in April or May. That was all he would tell me... So on Monday night, Drew's dad kind of spoiled the surprise a little bit (that's okay Brad!)... But I still only knew that we were leaving Wednesday and had no idea what he had planned... Turned out we went down to Indianapolis for a couple of days.... in this awesome convertible!!!
I guess it pays to have friends who own a car dealership! Thanks Tom... We had a blast... The weather was even nice enough to have the top down... We ate at Carrabas Wednesday night and then went to the Steven Curtis Chapman/Michael W Smith concert downtown at the Murat Theatre... And even snuck in a little cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory after the concert... Then Thursday morning we did some shopping at Keystone and Castleton and stopped at the Hitchcock's house to visit this 2-week old little bundle of joy....
It was great to catch up with Trisha and snuggle with little Adeline... She's so beautiful!! Then... we stopped at Ivanhoes for dinner and ice cream on the way home and reminisced a little on the Taylor campus.... All in all- a wonderful couple of days away with Drew... Thanks honey for a great birthday gift!! But I must admit, we were pretty anxious to get home to see this face....
...even though we knew he was having a blast being spoiled by both sets of grandparents...
