Christmas with Cousins and Playing in the Snow...

For all of you who haven't heard, Drew put in his 2 weeks notice last Wednesday and will be starting a new job in January... He will be working at The Advisors Group in Fort Wayne. We're very excited about this new opportunity.... So along with that, we've been enjoying some quality family time... Drew will be off work until the first of the year, which makes the holidays even more fun... We're getting spoiled with spending lots of time with Daddy....

We celebrated Christmas with Hailey and Ty this past weekend....
Evan got more Thomas tracks and trains to go along with what he already has... He was one happy boy.... And we have been playing with trains lots the last couple of days!!
Checking out the coal mine...
Trying out his new track at Grandma and Grandpa's house...
Ty got a new game for the Wii... Here he is "showing" Evan how to play. Can you tell Evan looks up to his cousin????
Goofy Evan :)
This is just a random picture of Evan in front of the fireplace... I just thought it was sweet :)This is one of his newest faces.... Too funny!!
Posing with his snowman that sings Christmas songs :)We got a little snow this past weekend and Evan couldn't wait to get outside and play in it!!
All ready to play in the snow :)
Laying down in the snow...He caught on pretty quick on how to make and throw snowballs! One, two, three--- THROW!Drew and Evan ganging up on Ma and throwing a snowball at her! You can see the path my dad shoveled between my parent's house and our basement door in the background...
It was all fun and games until Evan got a little snow on his face and was SCARED to death! He didn't like that cold feeling one bit! I just couldn't resist taking pictures... His face was priceless...
We did finally get him calmed down and playing again :)
More snow angels....
Shoveling in the backyard...
Our happy little family :)

Merry Christmas to all of you in Bloggerland! I pray we all focus on the TRUE meaning of the season...

Playdates, Mini Vacations, Breakfast with Santa, and More...

Well, this past week was a very busy one! Evan had a playdate of some kind every day of the week and with a different friend everyday! So it was a lot of fun.... Drew has had about 6 days off in a row and we've taken advantage of the time to do lots of family things together. On Thursday, our family left for a little mini vacation to Indianapolis and Ohio... We stopped and picked up my college friend, Trisha and her 2 kids and headed to the Childrens Museum in Indianapolis for several hours. Evan and Elias had a blast. We could have stayed there all day if it wasn't for needing naps... We decided we'll have to do this lots more often together. These 2 boys played so well together and have become great buddies :) Then we spent the rest of the day and evening with the Hitchcock's and ate dinner at Panera (not an easy thing with 3 little ones!)... On Friday morning, we woke up and headed over to Ohio to visit one of Drew's best friends from college and his wife and little boy. We all ate lunch at Red Robin and then visited an air force museum near their house. Evan loved all the planes and little Caleb slept through the whole museum! It was a great way for us to talk and catch up while we walked through the museum. We headed home late Friday afternoon... Great trip! Thanks to the Hitchcocks and Goodwins for their hospitality... We had a great time! Then Saturday morning we woke up and went to Breakfast with Santa... Evan really enjoyed himself, but wouldn't get too close to Santa... We're hoping next year he'll be brave enough to sit on his lap.... Then Sunday night we celebrated Christmas with my mom's side of the family.... All in all, a very full week, but a very fun one too!!
Drew and the boys walking through the train exhibits.... This was their favorite part by far of the whole museum!
Sitting on the choo-choo together :)
Evan and Daddy watching all the trains...
Looking out from inside one of the trains...
More trains in the Christmas exhibit :)
Evan at the air force museum... His stuffed doggie and/or monkey now pretty much travel with us wherever we go :)
The boys ice fishing in the Christmas exhibit...
So excited about the big polar bear!
Shoveling rocks with daddy at the construction site...
Playing at the BIG water table...
Happy boy!!
Drew and baby Adeline taking a break while Trisha and I played with the boys... This little girl is sooo sweet :) I just couldn't get enough of her (and I think Drew enjoyed her too :) )!!
Playing at the sand table...
Happy little Adeline...
Taking his goody bag from Santa Claus...
Breakfast with Santa... If you look closely, you can see Drew and Evan in the background... This was about as close as he would get....
Patiently waiting for his food...
Ma and Evan at Breakfast with Santa...
A picture with the snowmen at Breakfast with Santa...
Riding his truck around the basement.... He's finally to the point where he's not scared of this anymore! He got it for his birthday in August and is just finally willing to push the buttons and make it go....
Fun family time in the basement :)
Wearing daddy's hat and playing with stickers.... 2 of his most favorite things lately!
Mom playing Christmas music with all the kids at her side of the family's Christmas gathering...

Bridal Showers and More.....

We have been crazy busy these past few weeks... Lots of fun things planned.... I just love the busyness of this time of year... And this year has been even crazier with Laura's wedding at the beginning of January. This past weekend was spent with bridesmaid dress fittings, wedding preparations, and Laura's bridal shower with both sides of our family. It was lots of fun, but I was exhausted when the weekend was over!!
The 3 Ream girls :)
Lindsey, Laura and Whitney... These are 2 of Laura's bridesmaids from Indy... They came up to be fitted for their dresses and the shower... They slept in our basement for the weekend... So much fun!!
Laura and I....
The snowflake cookies I made for the shower... They took forever but I was really pleased with how they came out :)
