Busy at the Baker House!

We've been pretty busy around our house the last couple of weeks- sorry for the lack in posting... A couple of weekends ago we went to Chicago to help Rob's family get settled in their new home.. And then we've been busy with normal holiday get-togethers, decorating and getting the house ready for Christmas, holiday shopping, and now I'm trying to make sure I have all my bases covered to get ready for Laura's wedding and her shower that I'm hosting this weekend. I haven't taken too many pictures lately, but here are some of the ones I've taken....
Evan snuggling with Hailey on Thanksgiving... She bribed him with Skittles :)
He was so intrigued by the binoculars... And this is how he thought he was supposed to use them... He was making us all laugh :)
Ty reading a book to Evan on Thanksgiving.... Evan LOVES his cousins! And they are so good with him :)
Cheesing it up in front of Ma and Papa's Christmas tree...
Evan's new playroom in the basement.... We still need to finish off the ceiling and install the wood flooring, but then it'll be all finished.... He LOVES to play down there!!
The new shelving my Grandpa Dale built for Evan... And then Drew and I painted it... Now the room doesn't look quite so crowded!
Standing in front of the Christmas tree in our basement... We decided to do 2 trees this year... I'll try and get a picture of the other one on here soon :)
Playing with Play-doh in the basement... One of his most favorite activities lately!
More Play-doh!

Outdoor Fun!

This was the first weekend in a long time that we haven't had a full schedule.... We were able to spend lots of time together as a family- and most of it outside!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous... We wanted to take advantage of it while we could... We took several trips to the park, several walks, and spent time raking leaves in the yard... Saturday night we also had a bonfire at Drew's parent's house and Evan got to try his first (of many I'm sure) peanut butter milkshake. Grandpa Brad is famous for these- and Evan loved it!! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera at their house so I didn't get any pictures of the bonfire or milkshake :( But here are the pictures we did take....
Going down the slide....
More slides...
Riding the duck- he's so proud that he can get up on him all by himself!
Family picture in the backyard :)
Evan standing by his tree.... He has officially outgrown it!
Helping rake... Evan thought he was helping, but I'm not so sure....
Cheese!
Jumping in the big pile!
More raking.... This guy sure made us laugh this weekend!

In other news, the "binkie fairy" also came to our house this weekend... He took all of Evan's binkies and left a new Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater pillow and a new tractor book... We were bracing ourself for the worst and hoping to get at least a little sleep... But he has done surprisingly well... It still takes him a little longer to fall asleep (he only had it during naps and nighttime), but none of us have lost too much sleep :)

Trick-or-Treating!

Evan was a spider this year for Halloween :) He loved his costume and called it his Spider Suit :)
He wore it quite a bit in the couple of weeks before Halloween :)
He wasn't too sure at first, but he warmed up to the idea quickly when he realized that it involved candy....
Trick-or-treating.... Holding onto his suckers for dear life...
Soooo excited about his 3 suckers....
Loving this trick-or-treat thing....

Evan's treat from Aunt Brenda- a honeycrisp apple double dipped in caramel and covered in blue chocolate.... with gum for hair and candy for his face.... He loved it!!
Lazy morning at home with mommy.... Wearing jammies and playing in his playroom...
Cars, cars, and more cars...
Playing the piano with Ma.... He LOVES to sit and watch her play....
