We're Back!

Well, we are alive and well for all you who have been wondering about us. Our life has been very crazy these last few weeks, and in the midst of it all, we've been rearranging furniture and our computer in order to start working on Evan's big boy room.... So our desktop computer (which I use to blog) hasn't been connected to the internet until today... I've included a ton of pictures from the last few weeks, but I'll give a little update on each of us as well....

Evan-
The little man continues to change and surprise us with new things each and every day. So many times I look at him and seriously wonder where all the time has gone... He is getting so big! We are continuing to work on potty training- He doesn't have it mastered yet, but hopefully we're making progress :) He asks every day if it's summer yet, because to him that means he can go to the zoo (it doesn't open until the end of April). He loves playing outside on the days when we're able, loves playing at the parks, loves storytime, and playdates with all his buddies...

Drew-
Drew continues to stay busy with work... He loves his job and it's so wonderful for me to see the passion he has for investments and the work that he's able to do now. He also is very excited about his new car. We knew we were going to have to be trading the 11 year old Lexus in sometime this year since he needed something a little more suitable for snow and ice this coming winter.... He did lots of research and decided on the 2010 Subaru Outback. It gets very good gas mileage and is all-wheel drive... He's very happy with his choice...

Ashley-
Evan keeps me busy and on my toes and I treasure the time I get to spend with him each and every day....I continue to deal with health issues (chronic headaches that started after Evan was born). A couple of weeks ago, we made a trip up to Ann Arbor, Michigan to the MHNI (Michigan Head Pain and Neurological Institute)..We were very impressed with the care we received and know that we are working with the right doctors and headache specialists. We were there all day talking with doctors and running tests, and left there with a plan to experiment with some different medicines and have an MRI. I had the MRI scans this week, and am waiting to hear results.. So far one change in meds has been unsuccessful, but we'll see what the doctor has to say on my follow-up visit in a couple of weeks... It's been frustrating and disappointing to say the least, but we know God is in control and we trust His plan in all of this. We covet all your prayers as we continue on this difficult road....

I guess that's about all that's going on here in the Baker household! I hope to have lots more fun updates in the coming weeks as we have lots of fun things planned soon...We are having the Fisher and Hitchcock families here this coming weekend for a little reunion... Should be fun to see all the boys play together again (and little Adeline too )!!
Evan playing in shaving cream with Miss Kathy Ann- his "teacher" that comes to our house once a month to work with him... (For those of you in the area, the Parents as Teachers program through Early Childhood Alliance is wonderful. It's a free service they provide, and they come once a month to work with both you and your children to teach you age-appropriate activities and things you should be working on with your child. I would definitely recommend it!)
Playing at "It's Playtime" in Fort Wayne... One of our lunch-date days with Daddy....
Painting with watercolors....
A Dairy Queen lunch date with Ma....
Playing at the "BLUE" park... Evan has each park around here named by their color... It's too funny....
Driving the big car :)
Such a happy guy :)

Happy guy! Unfortunately, these were the only pictures I have from Easter. I stayed home from Easter festivities due to headaches, so these will have to do for this year!
Ready for a stroller ride in his new stroller which I am sooo excited about :) This one will be much easier for us to take to the zoo, museums, and amusement parks this summer....

Playing in the backyard- I took this picture looking down at him from our deck... I just liked the angle of it :)

Phew... that was a lot of pictures!! Hopefully I won't wait so long to post next time!!
