We took a little 4 day getaway this past weekend... We left Thursday afternoon and headed down to the Brown County/Nashville area. Drew's aunt and uncle have a 2nd home down there and they were so generous to offer it to us for a little vacation. On the way down, we stopped at Ivanhoe's for dinner... This was Evan's first experience at Ivanhoe's. It was so fun for Drew and I to share our favorite restaurant during our college years with him.Sitting in the booth waiting for our food...
Our first night at the house... Playing with dinosaurs :)
It rained most of the day Friday, so we weren't able to get out and do too much. We did head into Nashville and go to a few of the shops (Evan's favorite was the candy store), but we mostly spent the day at the house relaxing as a family. Then Friday night, the Hitchcock's arrived to spend the rest of the weekend with us. We had a lasagna dinner and enjoyed each other's company.... Then Saturday morning, Todd made us all a yummy breakfast and we headed into Brown County State Park for a few hours.....

Our first stop was the pony rides.... The boys had a blast... And Trisha and I were laughing so hard at Drew and Todd trying to navigate their stubborn horses... Memories we will treasure forever I'm sure :)

Isn't she the cutest??? I definitely got the baby bug this weekend.... Adeline is such a good baby and I loved squeezing her :)
Next stop was the nature center... I think this was a snake they were looking at...We enjoyed a picnic lunch at the state park on Saturday... It was an absolutely perfect fall day.... After the picnic, we found a playground and the boys had soo much fun....
Vacations sure do make a little boy happy :)
