Fort Wayne Mini-Marathon!!!

Drew and Laura ran in the Fort Wayne Mini-Marathon this morning.... I'm so proud of them- especially Drew.... This was his first time running a mini and Laura's second (she ran in the Indy this spring)... Drew said after they finished that he was glad he had Laura running with him to keep encouraging him.... Not too sure if he'll be doing one again, but he did great...Here are a few pictures...

This picture is kind of hard to see, but it was the best I could get from our angle... They are right underneath the Applebee's sign and you can see the back of my dad and John's heads... John is holding Evan and they got to cheer them on in the home stretch!!

We had to wait awhile in the stadium for them to get finished and Evan had a blast playing cars with John... John gave him an exact replica of a state police car today and it has quickly become his favorite car... I'll have to post pictures of him playing with it soon...

I just love spending my days with this little guy... What a joy!!

Playing with cars.... I realized today that I haven't been taking many pictures of Evan lately.... Seems like all we do anymore is play with cars all day... :) Not that I'm complaining!!

Wedding Weekend...

We had a great weekend filled with lots of family and fun..... Yesterday we went up to my grandparent's cottage for dinner... And Saturday Drew's cousin got married... All in all- a great weekend!!

Drew's cousin Seth got married on Saturday. Seth and Jessica got married at Drew's aunt and uncle's house- the same place where Drew and I were married 5 years ago. It was a beautiful ceremony on a beautiful day and brought back many special memories of our own wedding.....

Daddy and Evan... The reception was in building with a car museum and the museum was open during the reception... Evan LOVED the cars and we worked the whole evening on getting him AWAY from the cars and interested in the reception... This boy loves his cars!!

Labor Day Weekend!!

Our Labor Day weekend was wonderful! We spent LOTS of time together as a family and did lots of fun things... Saturday morning/afternoon we headed to the zoo and packed a picnic lunch...

Then on Sunday, we drove to the Indiana Dunes State Park and spent the day with Drew's parents and Rob's family... Brad and Charna have been married 40 years and this is what we decided to do to celebrate their anniversary.... The weather was great and we all had so much fun in the sand!!

One of the BIG hills that we climbed! Believe it or not, Evan climbed up most of this himself... We kept asking him if he wanted to be carried and he kept saying- "All by self".... Finally, he did let Drew carry him....

On Labor Day, Drew was in a golf outing, so Evan and I spent most of the day with my family.... We drove over to the Black Pine Animal Park in Albion... The weather wasn't too great, but as it turned out we got a special tour because we were practically the only people there...

One of the volunteers actually took us inside the "cat house" and we got to see all the tigers and other big cats this close... It was soo neat!!

2 Year and Family Pictures!!

One of my best friends from high school is a photographer.... She's taken Evan's pictures a couple of times before, but this time we decided to have her take some family ones as well. We went out to Drew's aunt and uncle's house and just let Evan run while she followed him and snapped some good ones... We were soo happy with the ones she got.. It was hard to choose which ones we loved the most.... Enjoy!
