In the last few days, Evan has made huge strides towards walking. He still hasn't taken any steps on his own, but he's definitely closer. He loves to walk behind his lion, and has started to let go for a few seconds and balance himself... He always looks at me and giggles when he lets go- he knows he is big stuff! Enjoy these two videos.. He's getting to be so much fun!

Going Private...
Due to some recent events, I feel that it is time for us to make our blog private... I would still love for all of you to be able to see the events of our daily lives, so please email me your email addresses so that I can make our blog available to you.... My email is ashleybbaker@yahoo.com. I'm sorry if this seems inconvenient to some of you, but we feel it is necessary in order to keep our family safe.... I will probably be switching it over to private within the next couple of days, so email me as soon as possible!! Thank you....

Wonderful News!!
I got a call yesterday from my doctor's office. The radiologist's report showed that my CT scan was normal......... Praise the Lord!! I have an appointment Thursday with my doctor to try and figure out what kind of treatment I will need to stop the headaches... But we are sooo thankful that this isn't something more serious. These last few days have definitely helped me to put things in perspective..... Thank you for all of your prayers and kind words.. They mean more than you know! And since I've been lacking in pictures here lately, here are a few pictures of the little man.... He is now cruising around furniture, pulling up and pretty much getting into everything!! It's been so fun to watch him as he explores and discovers this whole new world out there! And just in the last couple of days he's been jabbering like crazy... I'll try and get a video of that here soon.... Well, we have a busy day planned today... Evan and I are going to his first story time at the library this morning!!Playing with the coasters... Dropping them, picking them up, dropping them, and picking them up....
I'm a little late in posting this picture, but better late than never! Last week, we got to spend an evening with our friends Tyler and Natalie and their little guy Elias. He is so precious and I was so happy I got to snuggle him while he was sleeping.... Made me miss that stage with Evan.... We'll have to do it again soon guys!!!

Prayer Request
I have a prayer request.... I have been having some strange headaches on the left side of my head for awhile now and went to see the doctor about them yesterday. She scheduled me for a CT scan this afternoon to try and figure out what exactly is causing them. We're hoping they're just migraines and can be treated with medicine, but it's still been pretty scary thinking about the possibilities of what it could be. I know that God is in control and I'm trying to lay everything at His feet, but that can be very hard for me at times... I would appreciate your prayers... I am supposed to get the results sometime next week......

Flashback!
Well, now that Evan is a year old, I decided to do a little flashback of his monthly pictures this past year. Although some months were better pictures than others, I thought it was fun to look at how much he has changed. We took him for his one year doctor's appointment yesterday with our new pediatrician. We loved his new doctor and were impressed with how thorough she was and how she just let us ask any and all questions we had. He had to have 6 shots AND bloodwork drawn, so he had kind of a rough day yesterday. We decided to let him try some ice cream last night since he was such a brave boy. Surprisingly, he wasn't too sure about it. I think it may have been because it was so cold. His doctor said he's doing great in all areas and reassured us that everything is fine even though Evan may be a little slow to walk and talk.... Although he has been pulling himself up this last week really well and is starting to walk behind his toys and walk around furniture :) Here are some of the latest facts about our little guy....
* He weighs 24 lbs, 3 oz (75th %), is 30 1/4 inches long (65%), and his head is in the 90th % (just like his daddy!)...
*He still LOVES to eat- he'll eat pretty much anything except green beans.....
*He is starting to play more on his own and entertain himself with all of his toys... He still loves to read and flip through the pages of all of his books...
*He still loves his pacifier, although we're planning to get rid of it pretty soon...
*He LOVES to swing at the park- we try to make it there at least once a day!!
*He loves to play with water- his water table and bath time are some of his happiest times...
*He knows quite a few words when we say them although he hasn't really started repeating any of them yet (kitty, splash, doggie, books, blocks, eat, drink, sit up, ball, blankie, cow, duck, lion, mommy, daddy)
We are so in love with this little guy and enjoy each and every day with him... What a blessing he is....

ONE YEAR OLD! We think this might be the end of this pictures- we had sooo much trouble just getting a picture this good... He won't sit still at all for pictures anymore and he DID NOT want to be in his crib.........

Great Holiday Weekend!!
Hello everyone! We had a great long weekend around the Baker house... We kept pretty busy between get-togethers with family, but also found some time to work around the house and a little time to relax! We've started to work on the basement and hope to have the main room in the basement (rec room/family room) finished within the next couple of months.. But that means we'll be very busy since we (well mainly Drew!) are doing most of the work ourselves with some help from family.... I've included some pictures of the little man that I've taken recently. It's a little harder to take pictures now that he's constantly on the move! He's crawling, pulling up, cruising, and walking behind things with only a little help now.. It's been fun!! Evan has his one year checkup tomorrow with his pediatrician and I'll update after that....Holding onto his blankie before bedtime.. It's become somewhat of a fixture around our house these days....
