First Steps...

Well.... we can finally say Evan has taken his first steps! Saturday night I was holding Evan's hand while he walked around the family room and I let go.. He usually goes into "crawl mode" and instantly drops to his knees... Instead, he took a few steps on his own to the coffee table... Drew and I both got to see it. I was so glad Drew was home and watching when it happened! And he's been walking back and forth from Drew and I a lot in the past couple of days... Although we can't say he's actually "walking" all the time, he can't be that far away! Hopefully I can take a video soon and post it for you all to see...

This weekend, we went down to the Botanical Conservatory and had our family pictures taken.. We don't have those back from the photographer, but we did take a few of our own after we were done with our professional ones. I worked a little with editing them this morning and have included a couple...

I wanted to explain the 7X7 Prayer button at the side of my blog. Angie Smith (whose blog I faithfully follow), has challenged her readers to commit to praying for our children 7 times a day for 7 days. I am planning to start this challenge tomorrow and wanted to inform all of my blog readers in the event any of you are interested. You just click on the little button on the right side of my blog and it will take you to Angie's post and explain all of the details... I hope all is well with everyone and you're starting to get in the Christmas spirit.. I know I was when I woke up and saw SNOW this morning!!

  1. How great that must be to see the "firsts" in your child's life! Steph and I are definitely looking forward in anticipation to those times. Hope you have a good week!

  2. I am SO happy that you both got to see it at the same time! What an awesome thing to remember... God is wonderful... You better get all the still photos you can now, because the words "still" & "slow" will soon disappear from your house. :) Enjoy this milestone, it makes you realize he's gonna be independent from you someday... :( Love you guys!
