Happy Halloween!

We didn't do any trick-or-treating, but we did get little Evan dressed up in his two outfits! Thanks Aunt Laura for the pumpkin outfit and Aunt Alieta for the clown costume! We had tons of fun :)Evan and Grandpa Clark

More Random Pics....

I hope everyone isn't getting tired of these random Evan pictures! I just can't help posting pictures for all of you who don't get to see him on a regular basis....

Goodbye Jetta, Hello Rendezvous

Well, we finally did it. We traded in my little black car for a bigger family vehicle.... Although it was a little tough to get rid of the first car I've actually owned and paid for myself, I know the SUV will be so much easier with Evan. Already, I'm noticing how much easier it is to haul him and all of his things around :) We're still holding off on that minivan!! I managed to convince Drew to wait a few more years on that!

Mommy Time

Lately, I have been overwhelmed with feelings of gratitude and amazement at the love and joy that has filled my life with the birth of little Evan. I think part of these feelings stem from the fact that Drew has been gone in Las Vegas on a business trip the last few days (Evan and I have really missed him!) For those of you who don't know yet- We have officially made the decision that I will be a full-time stay-at-home mommy :) I couldn't be happier about the decision and I'm so thankful that I have a husband who values my time at home and is willing to make the sacrifices necessary for that to happen. It's so hard for me to imagine returning to my job at the bank and missing out on so many things that Evan is doing. I feel so priveleged that I get to be the one to take care of my little man.

On a side note, I've found a wonderful CD by Plumb (a Christian artist). The CD is titled "Blink" and all the songs are about being a mommy.... I've found myself listening to the songs over and over and bawling whether I'm in the car going somewhere or feeding Evan at home during the middle of the night... His little life is such a miracle and I'm constantly in awe that God has blessed Drew and I so richly :) What a joy he is! Here are the lyrics of my favorite song on the CD. I encourage all of you moms out there to buy it- It's such a blessing!

"In My Arms"

Your baby blues
So full of wonder
Your curly cues
Your contagious smile
And as I watch
You start to grow up
All I can do
Is hold you tight
Knowing...

Clouds will rage and
Storms will race in
But you will be safe
In my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash around
But you will be safe
In my arms

Storybooks
Are full of fairytales
Of kings and queens
And the bluest skies
But my heart is torn
Just in knowing
You'll someday see
The truth from lies
When the...

Castles they might crumble
Dreams may not come true
But you are never all alone
Cause I will always
Always love you

TWO MONTHS!!!

Well, Evan has officially reached the 2-month mark! It's so hard to believe he's already over 9 weeks old. At his doctor's appointment a little over a week ago, Evan weighed in at 14 pounds, 13 ounces. So we're sure he's at least 15 pounds by now!! He's getting to be quite a chore to carry around all day!!! I just love all of his rolls on his arms and legs and his chubby cheeks :) The doctor says he is doing excellent- especially good at holding up his head!!
Nothing but the Notre Dame hat!! Daddy had him starting out the day right!!

Such a happy baby!!

Sporting his shirt and tie for church this past Sunday!! Thanks Uncle Rob, Aunt Laura, Hailey and Ty!! We love the painted on tie :) He was a big hit at church!

Visit to the Pumpkin Farm!

We took a trip over to Ligonier to the Pumpkin Farm this week. I'm not too sure what Evan thought of the whole experience, but everyone else had a fun time!!

"Get me out of this pumpkin costume please!!"
"Did you have to buy this for me Aunt Laura??? I'm just not too sure about this outfit!"
"Ok, I'm so tired- can we be done with the photo session?"
"I'm just not too sure about sitting on this pumpkin!"

Our little family of three!

Six Week Pictures

We had Evan's pictures taken at JC Penney's at 6 weeks.. I was only happy with a couple of the poses... Here are copies of the ones we ordered.....

He's 6 Weeks Old!

Well, the last week or so has been a little interesting around our house. Little Evan made his first trip to the emergency room. He had a fever and we decided to take him to the hospital. They checked him out and he had a little cold and the start of an ear infection. They weighed him in at 13 pounds, 3 ounces!! For being a little under the weather, he's been a very good baby... It's really even hard to tell he's sick at all.. I think we're almost through it and he's on the mend. It's been so hard to see him all sniffly!.......Here's another one of his IU outfits...
My friend, Trisha (from college) and her husband and little guy Elias came up for the weekend to spend the day with us. We went to the Apple Festival and then came back to our house to hang out and watch the Colts game. Well, I should say the guys watched the Colts game! We had lots of fun. Evan can't wait until he gets a little older and can play with Elias!
He's figured out how to wiggle out of his bouncy seat! We have to start buckling him in now!
Thanks Aunt Laura for the cute duckie outfit!

I just love snuggle time with my little man :)

Kicking on his changing table- all ready for a diaper change!
Look at that belly :) Isn't he just too cute??
Nap time on the couch with daddy!
